I have never tested for pregnancy before, and obviously have never been pregnant before.

The past week and a half i had to go to the bathroom like crazy, anything i drink goes right through me. I feel bloated and have had some nasty abnormal back pain on and off at night. I came off birth control this past sunday nad havet had any signs of my period ( i usually get me period by today) I know it may be early to worry but do you think i should test anyways?

Will it be able to detect anything? And what test should i use if you think i should take a test?

Im slightly frightend and afraid to ask family or a doctor for an opinion. I fear i wont be taken seriously because of how early im starting to wonder, but my body has been weird the past week. Help?

Clearblue Easy Digital. It is the best pregnancy test in the world, because it is early detection AND it spells out the words "Pregnant" or "Not Pregnant", so there's no guessing. Plus it correctly detected my pregnancy.

Go ahead and test. If your period is late, it should show up. Anytime my period is late I test, regardless of symptoms, because most women don't notice symptoms until their missed period anyway. Use first morning's urine because it is most concentrated and most likely to be accurate. A positive is 99.5% accurate, but false negatives are more common so they're only 95% accurate. If you get a negative, you may want to test again in a week if there's still no bleeding.

Taken in normal doses, the pill won't hurt your baby (only stops ovulation, doesn't kill a baby already conceived) and it definitely won't affect your test results! You're probably not pregnant since you're on the pill, but it can happen...ask my fetus! Good luck!

I was never good at waiting to take tests so I would go ahead and take an Early Response Pregnancy test. If it comes out negative then take another one in 2 weeks. That's my best advice. Good luck!

It is probably just your body adjusting to getting off the pill. When I got off my periods were very abnormal. I missed the first one by 2 weeks. If you want to take a test you can, any one should work since you are already late but just give your body time to get the pill out of your system, cuz that is probably what it is.

First Response worked for me. You could be, but I'm not sure with the back pain I never had that in the early stages. Good Luck and God Bless

Go to the local health clinic. It's free, and results are more effective than home pregnancy tests. Good Luck!
