My favorite is something from Shakespeare's Troilus and Cressida. One character calls another "the idol of idiot worshipers."

ok, i have heard the answers to them as well, the funniest insult was this:
class clown student (loudly): sorry teacher, i wont be able to take this exam due to the fact that i am so exhausted from extreme sexual activity last night!
teacher (unflinchingly): well danny, you'll just have to write with your other hand.
or this
slender, successful, pretty woman: oh and who's this? (looking at stout tutor)
guy: thats our tutor
tutor (noting her own hugeness): choose your words wisely (to woman)
woman: (laughs) and what do you 'tutor'? (sacastically)
tutor: math, and what do you do for a living?!
woman: well! for one thing, (laughs) i watch what i eat.!
tutor (calmly): going down or coming up?
