I am typing this at 11 PM, and I was just wondering how all you smart athletes get by in school? I get honor role, but I find that I have to stay up to at least midnight to get my work done. Especially when I have away games, when sometimes I don't get back until like 10 PM. I feel so tired when I get back from playing, but I think once I get on the computer and start working, I kind of wake up. However, at school I tend to drag from lack of sleep. Being able to sleep in on weekends are the only thing that sustains me anymore.

Please note that I am taking all college courses, so I am usually writing some kind of paper each week, not mentioning ususally have a test or quiz in one of my classes.

Urg, good thing I"m a senior. Last year, last year, thats what I keep telling myself. I enjoy sports, but sometimes I wonder why I even play. I got accepted into a college and have a full ride from other scholarships, but I think this is more of a mental thing that I need to proof to myself

If I went to bed on the time I should, I would get around 8 hours of sleep at night. (While doing sports, we practiced until 6 PM every day). Tha tleft me 5 hours to do homework. Of course I worked almost everyday for 3 hours... so that adds up to only 2 hours of homework every other night.

I normally just do the major projects at home and spend the rest of my time in classes doing the homework. But at home I stay up til 1 or 2 in the morning just talking to people. >_< So actually 5 or 6 hours of sleep, but if i wanted to it'd be 8 >_<

I am not even in high school yet and I get about 5 hours of sleep on average. I usually don't finish my homework until about 1 maybe 2 every night. I can't imagine what it is going to be like when I go to high school and have twice the work.

It's really difficult to maintain atheletics and sports at the same time. I'm second honor in class, I volunteered for the Red Cross Youth of my city, was a majorette in our drum and bugle corps and I played volleyball in my team. How do I get sleep? Not much, but I'm really a late sleeper so sleeping at 12-1am is still fine with me, although I get sleepy during my morning classes. Since I enjoy everything that I do, the physical exertion that comes with my activities doesn't really bother me that much because I enjoyed doing them. Thus, it gave me enough push to go on with my next activity. Of course, I get low scores sometimes but hey I'm only human!!! Good luck to you. Enjoy what life has to offer. We only live ONCE.

None lol, about five. I kind of have a ring of friends where I can get 'help' on something I didn't finish, but I don't ask often, because I have a study hall and a class that is like a study hall so I can sleep in one and do work in the other.

It really all depends on how much homeowrk I get. Sometimes I only get maybe 4 hours where other time I get the full 8 hours on a school night.

I get between 5 and 7 hours of asleep. Being successful at a sport and at academics is extremely tough.
