10 months of age so I have just 2 more months to go)
Any tips? By now she only takes one bottle a day, at bedtime (I hold her, never put her in the crib with it) Because she's so active that I had to start giving her a sippy at 7 months.
So, how do I start the process of weaning (when time comes), if she only takes one bottle a day?
Thanks, I appreciate any tips.

That's the exact same thing I'm dealing with now. My daughter has sippy cups all day, then most generally a bottle at night. I think she would be completely broke of the bottle now, but it holds 8 oz. and the sippy cup only holds 6 oz. Anyways, what we're trying now, is to give her a sippy cup at night every other day. So far it seems to be working well. I'm hoping to have her off of the bottle completely within the next month (I'm sooo tired of washing bottles. LOL!) Anyways, that's what we're doing and it seems to be working, so maybe you could try that.

I didn't wean. We went cold turkey and both of my kids didn't mind. Just start offering cold (or cooler) formula. Then you won't have to warm the milk. I offered the first milk in a sippy during the day. They stopped the night bottle at the same time because they liked the sippy.
My kids were happy drinking anything!

My son's been on no bottles at all since about 8 months. It wasn't easy with the afternoon bottle, but I persisted. Basically, I made sure he was really ready for his formula, even waiting longer than usual before giving it to him. I made sure it was warm, and I took the valve out of the sippy for the first few sips, then lightening quick put it back in. If he didn't want to drink it from the sippy, he went hungry till dinner. Then I stuck to it. It worked. It was a couple weeks before he would willingly drink all the milk from the sippy as if it were a bottle.

If you are giving her formula or milk in the bottle, try switching to just water. Dont give her anything else in it, use the sippy cup.

if she only has one bottle a day what's the rush? ideally she would still be nursing several times a day. Babies still have a strong biological need to suckle well into their second or third year.
