I have 2 dwarf hamsters and their nails are really long....I have rocks in their cages to wear them down.....and we tryed clipping them but they are so wiggly... any advice???

DON'T CUT THEM YOURSELVES you could cause them to bleed to death, if the are younger i found that all my ham hams have sharp claws but they wear down.

I take mine to a local pet shop and they clip them for me. You can buy a hamster clipper at petco, but it is so hard to cut them because the are so wiggly. I clipped them a few times myself. When you clip them make sure you only clip the very tip! Otherwise they will squeel and bite you!

I have never heard of having to clip Hamster nails. Am I wrong?
