what animals eat cockroaches?

Question

are there any animals that will eat cockroaches? I have started to see a few in my house from the grocery bags and ewwwwww! I dont really want to use chemical sprays if I can help it. A new pet wouldnt be bad if it ate the bugs heheheh

Try a couple of pet hedgehogs. Let them run loose. You might have to supplement their diet if there aren't enough roaches. Of course, it would be nice if you could train them to use a litter box or something. They will eat insects, though I'm not sure they'll eat all the carapace and legs.

I've watched my cat eat cockroaches, I've watched various types of geckoes and anoles eat cockroaches (which is nice when you live in a climate that will support them, don't have to buy the lizards or the food...) spiders, some birds, I'm sure..... frogs would probably eat them if given a chance... ooo, this is fun... maybe a rough green snake, there's insectivorous........

a toad will eat cockroaches..many animals wont because a cockroach has a natural defense..they stink. i have read in japan some homes use geckos to eat cockroaches, also geckos can climb walls and ceilings to they arent limited to the ones on the floor. also..you will get a good deal on car insurance. :)

this is interesting. i never think of what animals eat cockroaches, i thought rat or spider may eat. But i am sure that humans do eat cockroaches too (of certain types)~they are used as chinese medicines.

I think u just have to source for insecticides. I don't think animal that eat cockroaches can be used as pet (coz' it may be pest too)

Some spiders eat cockroaches,cats can,if u dont like them then,buy shoes that are cheap and use those shoes to squish the cockroaches

Me. Cockroaches taste great fried in sunflower oil with a dash of soy sauce.
