Tis your child and apparently they are unaware of what kind of responsibility that entails. Just because you and your flame are split does not mean the child is to be abandonned by either one... restraining order or not. You are not foolish for insisting on providing for you infant... but if you are simply using that as an excuse to be closer to your ex (which I think you roommates believe to be your ultimate motive...) then you need to find a more hands off approach of supporting the child... via money and/or care packages.

Personally, Dearest, I'd tell them to sod off, but that's my opinion. The fact that you're being an adult and that you're facing your responsibilties instead of skipping town has already raised you far above your roommates' ilk. You should work with your ex and continue to work (begrudgingly amiably if necessary) until your child is of legal age. He or she will then hopefully thank the both of you for your hard work.
Now as for the two idiots you live with...could you possibly change the locks on them while they're out? You deserve so much better. Good luck.

well, i am assuming you are old enough to choose between right and wrong so, If you think that it is the right thing to do then follow what you beleive. If you are having doubts because of ehat they are saying then you should look at it and see if you can make the situation better. If you are old enough to have a kid then you are old enough to have enough responsibility to know what to do. Dont listen to them, don't forget, even if you think what your doing IS wrong, YOU are the one with the child, not your roomates. Good luck.

it somewhat is using fact those adult males weren't there whilst your baby grow to be born. they have no theory the midsection of a father and the little conversations and provides you a father makes to his toddler. to desert your guy or woman flesh and blood is an act of irresponsibility, selfishness, and immaturity. So that's any opposite direction around. Your roomates have the minds of youngsters. What do you opt to be? it is your option to attraction to close around with immature infants. i would not supply up those dazzling moments seeing a baby advance and alter by employing the day in replace for mindless events and substance abuse, all of that are meant to drug your techniques to final yet another day of their empty international.

It sounds like they may be trying to help you with their opinion on the entire subject. If it is at the point where they have gone too far, sit down and talk to them about how you feel and how you want them to stop.

if she has a restraining order against you, theres info thats missing from your story.
But in either event, start working more on your own life. Consider going back to school if you havent finished your degree yet.

It sounds like they have absolutely no idea what having a child involves. Them telling you to just leave you child with your ex is ignorant and I would disregard everything they say.
Tell them it's not their business and you don't appreciate any of their negative/unless input.
