Yes this is normal, but keep checking tempature. Also look for rashes or the sort. I would start being concerned after four hours of sleep. If it is worrying you to bad go ahead and wake him up. Side affects and alergic reactions can happen so you can't ever be to cautious.

yep the poor little guy i would wake him and feed him and put him back down ck him for fever etc and dose of tyenol of if your md approved of it but him sleeping should be okay as long as there isn't a high fever or rash where he got the shots etc read the info sheet on the shots they gave to make sure he isn't have any other sid affects. but i hope he feels better

:-}

he should be good tomorrow after noon if not call md for advice

o yes. My kids all slept for a few hours after theirs. Think about that kind of trauma and then crying for an hour - it takes a heck of a lot of energy.
He could also be having a growth spurt - that always knocked my kids out too. Be prepared for him to either be way hungry or not hungry at all. Make sure he gets something to drink though - or nurse him as often as he wants if you are nursing.

Very normal, even from veterinary or geriatric viewpoints. Immuno shots are an invasion of the blood stream and perceived as an "attack" by both animal and human systems ....don't know the statistics on vegetables, waiting on reports from my gardener whom just shot up the carrots and radishes for "flu."

My son got his 4 month shots last Friday and he slept more than he usually does. I think it's normal. Shots and crying take a lot out of their small bodies.

Yes! My babies always get cranky, and sleep alot for a day or two after they get immunizations. Something about them must make them feel crummy.....not to mention the horrible soreness they must feel in those little legs! He's probably fine. Just be sure to watch for more serious warning signs like fever, or vomiting, or hives.

Yes, but we usually don't let him sleep for more than 3 hours unless it's his afternoon nap. We want him to sleep through the night.

Sometimes shots can give them a slight fever, which can make them somewhat lethargic.

Yes and tomorrow he may run a slight fever he should bounce back by the third day .
But should he develop a rash call the doctor ,he will also be off his eating tonight .
Hope this helps .
