i got my ear lobe pierced about 9 weeks ago and i have just noticed that there is a bump forming around the actual piercing, its not visible as far as i know, but you can tell it's there whn you touch it, anyone know what it could be and how to make it go away?

Well it could be a build up of puss or it could be the tissue around the area building up and scabbing. If something is coming out then you need to use alcohol on it or peroxide. That will clear up any infection. Of it may be from the metal in your ear. Did you do it yourself or have someone at a shop do the piercing for you. If it was pro work you should call them up and ask. If you did it yourself then you may have an infection from a bad needle. Well best of luck, it may just go away. You did just get it done, peace.

It could be a keloid. You'll want to just take care of it by washing the piercing once a day with Dial liquid. You can also get some sea salt and soak your ear in a warm sea salt water mixture for about 10 minutes everyday. You do not want to use alcohol or peroxide on the piercing--this will just dry it out and irritate it.

It's natural your ear is just infected!!!!!! Don't panic just put neosporin on it and it might form away!!!!!!!!! Well before you put on your earing just rub the neosporin around the little needle that should help the bump!!!!!!!!!!! Good Luck!!!!

sometimes, from what i understand, a piercing will sometimes "reject" itself, which on one of my friends started as a small bump, but turned bigger. my sister is a piercer, and explained that sometimes your body refuses it. it could just be infected but keep an eye on it!!

i agree..it's scar tissue. If it doesn't hurt..then it definitely is. If it hurts..it might be getting infected.
