Princess Di. From her high station in life, she gave notoriety to such causes as The removal of mines in Asian and African countries that were killing and maiming people. She also brought attention to the plight of AIDS victims and orphans. She was a conscientious woman who didn't take privilege for granted and used it for good. She also made me consider that whatever station of extreme privilege an individual is born into, it doesn't make them any more special than anyone else, but using what you have at your disposal to do right and good is what defines that person. I admired her immensely and was extremely sadden by her death. The title the People's Princess suited her enormously. I also liked the fact that she publicly acknowledge General Colon Powell as her 11th cousin, although he wasn't invited to attend her funeral.

You could argue that Hitler, by his total evilness in word & deed, has influenced people to never let history repeat itself. We're not quite there yet. But we're working on it.
