Here are some warning labels that just didn't make any sense to me! Feel free to add your $0.02 worth!

On a Sear's hairdryer:
"Do not use while sleeping."
(Gee that's the only time I have to work on my hair.)

On a bag of Fritos:
"You could be a winner! No purchase necessary. Details inside."
(The shoplifter's special)

On a bar of Dial soap:
"Directions: Use like regular soap."
(And that would be how ...?)

On some Swanson frozen dinners:
"Serving suggestion: Defrost."
(But its "just" a suggestion)

On Tesco's Tiramisu dessert (printed on bottom):
"Do not turn upside down."
(Too late!)

On Marks & Spencer Bread Pudding:
"Product will be hot after heating."
(And you thought . . .)

On packaging for a Rowenta iron:
"Do not iron clothes on body."
(But wouldn't this save me more time?)

On Nytol Sleep Aid:
"Warning: May cause drowsiness."
(One would hope.)

On most brands of Christmas lights:
"For indoor or outdoor use only."
(As opposed to what?)

thats the best thing iv read all night, thank you! i think people are sue happy, so these companies have to cover all the bases. remember the mcdonalds coffee incedent? the person who spilled hot coffee on their own lap and sued for millions? you dont want some reet taking a sleep aid and suing the company ,saying that it made them drowsy. i think just like you. thats so funny!

--On a Sear's hairdryer:
"Do not use while sleeping."
(Gee that's the only time I have to work on my hair.)--
They mean don't turn it on, leave it on and fall asleep. That COULD be dangerous.

--On Tesco's Tiramisu dessert (printed on bottom):
"Do not turn upside down."
(Too late!)--
DUH. Lift it above your head and read that part.

--On Marks & Spencer Bread Pudding:
"Product will be hot after heating."
(And you thought . . .)--
That's implying, "We know you know this is hot... but we're reminding you to handle it w/ care because people are stupid enough to touch hot items with bare hands, get burned, then sue the company for not giving a warning - that's why we give this warning. To avoid all this trouble."

--On Nytol Sleep Aid:
"Warning: May cause drowsiness."
(One would hope.)--
Sleeping is not synonymous with drowsiness... i.e., not everyone taking a pill to aid with sleeping hopes/wants to feel drowsy.

--On most brands of Christmas lights:
"For indoor or outdoor use only."
(As opposed to what?)--
Heh... it IS worded oddly - but they mean, for example, do not use in water with lights on.

Excellent!!!
More stupid remarks on labels can be found on warning labels on step ladders and about every other item used in America. Most are there because someone has sued for doing something really stupid or OSHA needed to do that day so they require another stupid label.

I believe people can be that stupid. I enjoy making fun of such things though. I guess it makes me feel like a better human being knowing there was a reason that it is labeled the way it is. Some idiot had to have done those. I laugh!

These are here because someone was either stupid and/or greedy enough in the past to sue these companies over these things. Now, all companies have to issue disclaimers because of attorneys taking these cases.

Or an IHOP sign. For your safety we do not allow customers to turn the high chairs upside down to put their baby's carrier on top. Someone tried that?
