Whoever said they aren't a young team is smoking some pretty good weed. They were one of the youngest teams in the NFL last year, and will only get younger.

I also see people just listing "they lost Clements, Fletcher, Villarial." We play a Tampa-2 people, not even Champ Bailey is worth $80 million for us, let alone Nate. As for Fletch....he's 32, and must've set some sort of record for tackles recorded at least 4 yards downfield. He doesn't function well without two massive bodies in front of him, and he proved that all year long. He just cannot shed blockers, nor is he very fast any more. Villarial hasn't played a full season in two years and can't pass block worth a crap. He's done.

How in the world could we ever replace them? From our DRAFT last year. Ashton Youboty, who went in the 3rd due to rawness, but has 1st round-talent, has been sitting on the bench learning the system. Whose better...a 3rd-rounder with 1st-round talent whose been in the system a year or a 1st-rounder fresh out of college? 'Bout a wash. We still have McGee and we resigned Kiwaukee Thomas(Kiwi), whose one of the better nickel backs in the league. Jabari Greer also has a good deal of talent.

Linebacker-wise...we could go into opening-day with our current set of linebackers. Spikes on strong-side, Ellison on weak-side, and Crowell in the middle. Ellison came from the 5th-round, but all he's ever done is make plays. Fast as hell and good in coverage. Before you piss and moan about him being "just a 5th-rounder" so was Cato June. Any linebacker we draft would put more heat on TKO, honestly. Drafting Willis would shove him out of strong-side in favor of Crowell...

Oh yes, guard. Well, we signed Derrick Dockery. We probably overpayed, but who doesn't in FA? All I know is we locked up a good young guard who'll only get better. Jason Peters is a monster, so our left-side just became one of the best in football...and one of the younger tandems. Fowler is above-average, and Langston Walker was good until last year when everything went wrong in Oakland. A change from the terrible Oakland atmosphere which seems to make everyone worse should make him an above-average RT, and RG is being addressed in-house. Aaron Merz, Duke Preston, Terrance Pennington, and Brad Butler are all battling to start there. Whittle adds experienced depth.

As for McGahee....he's overrated as hell. He averaged four yards per carry once in his whole career.....4.0/carry two years ago. Otherwise, he's averaged 3.8 yards a carry, including this year. Wali Lundy and LaMont Jordan averaged 3.8 yards per carry and Ron Dayne managed 4.1 yards per carry. After an off-year, the guy has the gall to ask for a lucrative extension(no doubt more lucrative than what the Ravens got him.) He isn't the back he was before his injury....he has average speed, no extra gear, average strength, goes down at initial contact, couldn't be bothered to study the play-book, is a poor receiver, and once he through his former team under the bus not once, but TWICE. A classless, mediocre back. A-Train by himself is a suitable replacement. A-Train+a 3rd-rounder like Tony Hunt or Chris Henry would bury him. Michael Bush? Easily better.

We've only gotten younger and faster, and we improved our offensive line immensely. We're reaping the fruits of every pick from last year, and haven't even drafted yet this year. We have a great shot at making the play-offs this year, 'cause no one in Buffalo is saying that schedule's tough. They see it as an opportunity to secure all the important tie-breakers...

The playoffs are a reasonable expectation for a team coming off a seven-win season in which it used a lot of young players and had a new coaching staff. But the Bills look like they're at least a couple of years away from making a legitimate run at the Super Bowl. I think if they get a good draft and fill some holes like LB and the offensive guard positions through free agency, the more they play together the better they will get....

they should be a little better with the additions on the offensive line so losman who was one of the better qbs over the last 8 games should have a solid year. questionable at the rb position and defense (draft) , new england is really getting an upgrade thru free-agency and will win the division but the bills have a shot at a wild card if they get lucky in the draft. gotta beat miami + jets to have any chance. superbowl any time soon is up in the air, but who knows-every year a different team seems to make a big jump. good luck

Buffalo just got rid of a promising running back in Willis McGahee, a devastating MLB in London Fletcher, and a solid CB in Nate Clements. The rest of the team isn't exactly young. Buffalo needs to reload, fast.

If the Bills can't find a way to sweep the lower AFC East opponents and at least split the New England games, they are in for long-term trouble.

I highly doubt it. For as good as the Patriots have been for the last 7 years, the haven't been able to do it three in a row. It would take a great team that has all of their key players locked into contracts for that three year run, assuming there are no holdouts. Those players would have to be healthy for the playoffs in each of those three seasons. That team would also have to keep the same coaching staff without losing their offensive coordinator and defensive coordinator. Teams that have success lose coordinators to become head coaches somewhere. They lose talented players on a yearly basis to free agency. When these things happen, you lose the team chemistry that makes you a great team in the first place.

They will improve again this year but they are still a year or 2 away from a Super Bowl win...I do think that this is the year they get to the playoffs...they are the surprise team of the NFL

I don't know whether they will improve or not, i hope they do, i think they have been one humble organization...i also hope they get to be a super bowl team once again, their fans deserve it for alwayz supporting the bills thru all the rough times. i get shocked at how the bills crowd their stadium even when the team is losing and with that horrible cold weather...all in all, i think u get my point.

Yes!! The bills will make the playoffs this year. They will have one of the best secondaries in the AFC and will be a evenly balanced Offense. I see them as a low seed playoff team.
