Why can't AFRICA be encouraged to use its vast reserves of coal to use in creating electricity the nations there are being told ..don't burn coal because of carbon waste going into the athmosphere.fact is the earth was much much warmer in the past and colder too ..mother nature has gone through all these changes in the past over millions of years ,,so what is the hidden agenda of the present '' Developed Nations''.

How would "Africa" become a modern power? They have been fighting brutal continent-wide wars for over a decade.

They've had easily as many deaths as the West had during WWII.

Does one need a coherent theory to spin together an outlandish conspiracy? Obviously not.

I think the developing world is at a disadvantage because of the way the developed world got to here it is today. No longer is it acceptable for a country to develop with such disregard for environmental issues as the West has. The problem is the cost involved in doing things "clean".

There is also the issue of Africa helping itself by having better law, justice, government, etc. Plus they have to let us help them.

What you say about the Earth been cooler and hotter in the past is correct and the planet does have a natural cycle of warming and cooling. The problem is that that we are accelerating that process in a fashion that nature cannot cope with and if we don't do something to correct this it will have severe effects.

Western powers would love a developed Africa - stable source of oil and diamonds, agricultural produce, no breeding grounds for islamic terrorism.

And yet all the aid is stolen by crooks, and all africans did with their freedon is sit and whine that West has conspiracy against them.

Look at China, India, Japan, Korea - they were all dirt poor, they all got rich or are growing fast. Without west's help.
