What's wrong? 1.) The injuries are eventually catching up to them, 2.) Lindy Ruff is starting Miller too much. Nobody understands that Ty Conklin IS a good goalie, he's just on a bad team every season. They are still #1 in the Eastern Conference by 2 points since the Sabres scored with 6 seconds left in the 3rd last night, but lost in a SO, but still got 1 point. Ottawa is still 6 points behind, but I can't see the Sabres losing a bunch of more games because they'll eventually start getting better since Kotalik and Spacek are coming back. Sabres are going to be in perfect shape for the playoffs, even Connolly may be back.

oh no the sabres lost 4 in a row big deal. they need to get healthy for one.and these other teams they playing still have to play for something i think the only game that ment anything to them was the jersey game now just got toget back too what they do best and thats skate capitalize on there chances and barry some pucks. there still first in the east its a slump and all teams have gone through them so im not worried rather go through them now. then in april.been a sabres fan for over 30 years they be fine

Nothing is really wrong, Pittsburgh is just riding on a huge emotional high right now after getting the arena deal done. They most def outplayed the Sabres tonight though.

They have been given rid of McGahee when you consider that he's no longer a good character participant, and did no longer positioned forth finished attempt each sport. He did no longer savor the city, and would not show up for group workouts, when you consider that he might particularly be by way of himself in FL, far off from the group. They lost Fletcher when you consider that he replaced into going to call for a large paycheck, and is ageing. he's previous his best, and could slowly bypass downhill, and that i doubt the charges had to pay vast money to somebody who replaced into unlikely to accomplish on the point he did while they paid him. They traded away Spikes when you consider that they did no longer experience he replaced into ever going to return to professional-Bowl form, and merely like Fletcher, did no longer opt for to pay him professional-Bowl money while he replaced into no longer enjoying like it. we've a ton of DT that we are able to rotate out, and could with any luck have a sparkling linebacker from the draft. in case you think of of a favorable easy, they have achieved some thing they have not achieved because of the fact the suberbowls....they are heavily engaged on their offensive line. we've an mind-blowing reciever in Lee Evans, and a QB (Losman) who would be incredibly good with the greater effective line in front of him, and finally an entire twelve months of experiance. We actual have an extremely youthful protection, and RB are a dime a dozen now. there are in basic terms a handful of communities with a unmarried working decrease back, jointly as maximum have 2 or greater. there's a good destiny forward for the charges, it won't be this twelve months, yet i might anticipate the charges to do greater effective than final twelve months.

I'll give them credit for battling back with about 6 seconds to go. But, they couldn't produce many shots. Even though they scored 2 goals on like 5 shots in the 3rd. They really didn't click in the attacking zone constantly.

But, My Pens came out with a great playoff atomsphere win, on a special night here in the Burgh!

They were pretenders in the 1st place. They carried over momentum from a good play-off run last year but are too fragile to compete ( one of the reasons why their play-off run ended last year) and they did nothing to improve at the deadline. I think they are in trouble if they draw TB or Carolina.

Hate to say it by Miller can not win the big games in the playoffs. He was consistently losing key games in Rochester.

The Penguins simply out-played them tonight.

Not enough gritty players with size. Not goons like Mair and Peters but legit grinders like Gaustad.

It's a slump. It happens.

They do need to get their players back before the playoffs.
