I'm doing a project for math and I need a real life situation that involves the use of a cubic function. I need something that can relate to a concert (venue, ticket price, sound travel) anything at all. or just anything in general that uses a cubic function.

Here's a paper about CUBIC, a compter networking protocol that is a variant of TCP (Transmission Control Protocol, usually seen as TCP/IP), which uses a cubic function.

I wanted to 'rent' a small part of my friend's basement for storage. He asked me how many cubic feet my items would take.
I had to measure each box, WxLxD, to get the cubic inches. Then I added all the cubic inches of each box, divided by 144 (# of cubic inches in a cubic foot). Then I could tell him how much cubic space I needed.
