Like the others say - its probably a pulled muscle. Take Aleve/Ibuprofen, ice, rest, but also do some gentle stretching to it. Soft tissue injuries (muscle, ligament, tendon) do heal on their own but gentle stretching provides modified tension and the repaired tissue will align itself in the orientation of the normal tissue and healing will be faster.

Ice is a good treatment. As you probably already know, since you lift weights, when you lift weights you are tearing muscle tissue. That tissue heals but gets bigger in the scarring process, which is why your muscles get bigger. It is also why you should lift weights on alternate days to give your muscles a chance to heal a bit. You must have overdone it a bit, but the ice treatment is probably the best you can do. Obviously, if it doesn't stop hurting within a day or two, you should have it looked at.

hey!! you probably pulled a tendon or muscel. just exercise it alot. and keep stretching it. every once in a while, take a motrin to calm the pain. do NOT stop moving it for a long time period or else the pain will come back. it is probly from lifting weights. for my swim team, we Had to lift 5 out of 7 days of the week for 2 hours (our coach is hard core) and my arms hurt soo much. but after a while of exercising it every day, i got over the pain and it stopped hurting. if it continues to hurt, you should see a doctor. hope this helps!!

Is there any redness or swelling. If not, it will pass away quickly (within a day). Take two aspirins, and call me in the morning. A century ago, I would have called at your place.
In the 21st cent., tough luck.

it could be from weights, try ice hot on that spot and try not to stress that arm until it heals, less weight on it too, ice is good to, try thoughts 2 things and if it shouldn't get better soon, go to the doctors.
good luck.

No doubt you pulled a muscle or tendon. Put heat on it and take some ibuprofen (Advil). Give it a couple days and if it doesn't go away see your doctor.
