a pull over does that mean like a sweater,or a sweatshirt? Or does it just mean any kind of shirt they can pull over their head?

A pullover is a sweater with no buttons or fasteners that you pullover your head.

Usually a sweater, but I suppose a sweatshirt would also fit the bill - basically differentiating it from a dress shirt. Just generally I think it's a more casual thing - like if you said you're going to wear khakis, you mean casual pants, not jeans and not dress pants.

A pullover is a sweatshirt usually with a hoodie. For foreign people it's probably the same.

a sweater that can't be opened fully in the front to be taken off (ie zipper, buttons)
