Here is a little advice from someone who played 20 years of elite soccer and now has a university minor in sports injuries. Stay off it and fight the urge to come back too soon. It takes a minimum of 28 days for soft tissue (muscles, tendons, ligaments) in the body to heal and that's if you lay in bed and never used them. If you are up walking every day extend that time. I didn't and sprained the same ankle 5 times in a season - spent most of the season on the bench. Now I have to wear a brace on that ankle for every sport I play - all because I couldn't wait.

Furthermore, most people do not realize that if you have a sprained toe (I will assume it is your little toe since a badly sprained ankle will also tear some of the muscle tendons from their attachment to the base of the little toe) then the ankle sprain is quite serious and will require full recovery time.

Also, taping of a joint only adds support for about the first ten minutes then the tape is so stretched the support is lost.

REST...you will actually get more playing time in in the long run.

Besides the advice for rest, ice, and elevation of your foot/ankle - you can ask your doctor if an ankle brace would be appropriate for some protection. Also if you have an athletic trainer working with the team - they can wrap your ankle. It's hard to wrap your own foot and it also takes knowledge and practice in order to do it right. I recommend taking a break and rest it. Once you sprained an ankle you are just more likely to repeat the injury due to diminished balance and proprioception. Good luck.

You don't. You stay off the foot. Really, you can do a lot more damage if you do something silly like play on that hurt foot and ankle.

If it is truly sprained, you shouldn't play. Further injury can be devastating.

You really shouldn't. You could make it much worse from over exercising it.
