KG is not at his game this year, neither is TD. Is Dirk playing better at the PF position than the afore mentioned this season?

I would have to say no, because Dirk isn't a true power forward. He's a shooter and not a true back to the basket post. He does play the forward position well, but not necessarily in a power role. Tim Duncan is probably the best, which is why they call him "Big Fundamental," he plays with his footwork and isn't the shooter that Dirk is. Dirk is having a banner year, as he leads the MVP race, but I'd hesitate to call him the best power forward, and rather call him the best all around player.

strictly from a label standpoint, yes. but dirk really plays more like a small forward. if we are saying true power forward i'd probably say duncan had the best year. kg is having a great year statistically too. but what makes a guy the best for the year? quite simply winning and dirk is the best player on the best team. he'll probably win the mvp as well.

Nowitzki is not the best PF because his style of play is much more of a Shooting Forward. most of the time he's in the perimeter waiting for a pass and shoot his deadly Jumper....Tim Duncan will still be the yardstick for todays PF.

Maybe in my honest opinion. Why that I say because there is more good power forwards in the NBA like Amare Stoudamire, Tim Duncan, Yao Ming, and Shaq but u might be right.
