Where can I take my 4 year old for IQ testing in Washington State?

We believe that she may have some sensory issues that may need OT, so we would like the person doing the testing be able to address these issues.

I live in WV and received an IQ test courtesy of the school system shortly after entering it. If you could hold out another year til your child enters school, they will most likely be able to asses your child's issues and suggest appropriate remedies. IQ tests too early in development may be innacurate, so another year might allow your child to catch up to a degree. It's a balancing test, you don't want to hold out too long to address the issues but at the same time you don't want any innapropriate diagnoses place on your child that would potentially stigmatize him or her for life. Remember to keep the best interests of the child at heart. Good luck!

An IQ test is not going to tell you about sensory issues - you need a sensory evaluation.

Also - it may be different in WA, but In Wisconsin, students cannot receive OT services through public schools unless they are receiving other primary special education services. OT is considered a "related service." You may need to go through a private or outside agency to get OT if your daughter does not have a primary "label."
