Wars always cause damage. You need to look at the positive side - millions were freed from tyranny. Just like WWII where we lost 10,000 in one day, the positive thing was that we freed the world of the Nazis and Hitler.
Wars are never pretty. Look at all the deaths with the Clinton wars of the 90's and the Bush wars have lost thousands of honorable soldiers too. One good thing is that we haven't been attacked in 6 years. Before 9/11 we were attacked every year by terrorists. It's almost like a miracle that we haven't been attacked in such a long time.
Maybe that's the most positive result of all.

Three things that Bush can not repair in my book. The war is what it is and post 9/11 was bound to be a mess no matter what. Anyway, the three things that boil my blood is the Dubai port thing, the ridiculous profiteering at the pump, and the upcoming move of Haliburton or however it is spelled. Those three things represent just how corrupt our government is. Don't tell me the government can't stop the gas prices. The oil companies have unfair compeition for my dollar. I have to buy oil, but I don't have to go to the deli for a decent lunch.

He alone cannot. Liberals have prevented President Bush from fully funding the war. The damage you speak about is caused by the surrender kings who, quite negligently, don't want to get the job done in Iraq. They are prolonging the whole conflict. If we just get in there, flex our military and get the damn job done like we should have in Vietnam, then this whole thing will be over in a jiffy. No more suffering, everyone happy, terror dead. Period.

No.
Seriously, it is going to take about 100 years to repair the damage in Iraq and can't even begin until we get out of there...

I believe we can definitely win. It will be harder thanks to Nancy Pelosi & her followers.
The damage inflicted on the Iraqi people & country will take decades to recover from like every war before them. The damage to the morale of our troops will be hard to repair but not impossible. They & their families will remember at election time & the outcome will make them feel better. As a mother of an Army Officer I will pray for Iraq & peace & vote against those endangering my son's life by trying to punish a political party. Mistake - big mistake, there are a lot of military votes.

The damage to Iraq is irreparable, unless, the US government appropriate half of its budget for Iraq. There were massive destruction to infrastructure and many people were displaced from their homes and jobs. A civil war was also ignited by the Americans between the Shiites and the Sunnis that could end in chaos for the Iraqi people if not properly solved.

How could he un-murder hundreds of thousands of people (and counting), and un-torture and rape tens of thousands more? Un-main -- who knows how many?
He can't unbomb sacred sites or people's homes and personal property.
No, the damage cannot be repaired.
That's why people were against it in the first place.
