i was reading it and had to give it back to my friend and did not finsh, can someone please help. how does the story end

His books always end with the good guys defeating the baddies in a fantastic, almost superhuman way, with a witty plan that pushes the boundaries of physics and believability, but their strength, cunning, and intelligence pull it off in the end. Do the details matter?

PS: I love his books. They are great entertainment, but the details aren't important. Go to the library and check it out.
