I believe the pc's are testing our brains and sending a signal to our fingers to try and spell the words right. Eventually our fingernails will fall off, because they won't be able to handle the stress anymore.

I find it actually exercises my brain and relieves stress as it give me an opportunity to voice my opinion and/or help someone.
