My American dream is to live above other ppls expectations of me.
I am a 21yo African American mother of a 1yr baby girl who has come from less than humble beginnings. All my life I was told that I would never become succesfull in life, I would become complacent(sp) in my surroundings -the ghetto where I was brought up- and be just like all of the other girls around me. This meant that I would not graduate high school (did it! C/O 2003) I would be on welfare (I work a fulltime job to support my daughter) and I wouldn't further my education (I am currently attending a 2year community college to get my GPA up to attend the local University)
I plan on opening my own after-school facility that specializes in the arts for inner city youth who dont want to be just "another statistic"
This is my Americcan Dream that I am working on making a reality.
Hope this helps

well, i'm in junior high, but here's my american dream...
just to live a normal life, i guess. i really want to find a job i'd really love, and a nice house-you know, the ordinary! but i also would like to join a choir, band, or orchestra when i grow up, even if i'm not professional.
so i guess the house is part of it, but i wouldn't say it's everything. maybe the american dream is to make your life and other people's lives better.

I dream that every child has milk for breakfast. I dream that every child can read and has access to books. I dream that every child can sleep soundly at night, safe from abuse and gunfire.
It would be nice if this will happen worldwide but if it could just happen right here at home, that would be my ultimate American dream!
God bless America!
GOOD LUCK.

I really thinkk that the american dream is to have a family. Families are the most important thing that you can have. If you never had a family, nothing could be possible.(at least for me)

i want to live that dream every day

that illegals are sent home all of them. that the leaders of this country become leaders and not puppets. that the people in this country wake up to the enemy inside of this country undermining us all. we need to become vigilant and more caring or we stand greater problems down the road for all of us. english is the language and no other should prevail here. wake up people.
