I thought it would be a spoof, like Adam Sandler as "Operaman" or something. When the guys started the "69" fight naked in the hotel room, that was the straw that broke the camel's back.

She went to bed at 8:00 tonight, I think because I rented another one that we were going to watch tonight. Anyone can make an honest mistake, so I don't necessarily want to "make it up to her", but how do I get through to her that it was an accident?

(Telling her that now we're even because once she rented Howard's End wasn't the right approach.)

If you get in this much trouble over a dumb movie, dude, I feel sorry for you. The truth is that we just watched it two nights ago too, and had some friends not warned us, I would have been a little shocked myself.

Dude, leave her alone for a day or two....and slip her a note on the counter, that says something like, "Sorry I screwed up. I didn't know it was gonna be like that. Please forgive me." Don't let your pride of it being an "honest" mistake let you both suffer because it left bad feelings in her. It's not worth it, Dude, and you'll do without a LONG time just trying to "win".

I actually watched it with my sister in the theaters before my husband watched and I rented it when it came out. My husband LOVED it. He has been quoting it for days now, and I find it funny. Your wife sounds like she has no sense of humor at all. It is a comedy, it is sick and it is funny.

Uhm, so you rented a movie that she didn't like and she's that upset with you??? Hahaha, your wife is either a complete ***** who needs psychological counselling or you two have more problems than what movie was rented.

Well should I say that there are some movies we don't really like and I quite understand your concern to "make up" for the movie for your wife. Since she is not complain about it, I think you should both forget about it and move on.

That is something that is not that serious, but the next time you want to watch a movie, you may want to ask her what she is interested in, its not your fault, a lot of people liked that movie
