I need to choose one of the topics but i don't know which one is the best and easiest. The topics:
-alternative fuels
-energy policy
-climate change
-energy materials
-nuclear waste management
-catalysts for energy
-fuel chemistry

My vote is alternative fuels. It's absolutely a current topic, and you'll find a lot of information in the news now (ethanol, wind power, hybrid cars, biodiesel, etc.). Check out car manufacturers' websites for some alternative fuel info - they're all very eager to show their abilities to find gasoline alternatives.

it shouldn't be based on what will be the easiest.
But maybe you should try some search engines and see what topics bring up the most relaible sources--the more sources you have the better!
Do something you're interested in and it will seem easy--I know, science isn't interesting (oh, but yes it is! give it a try!).
I think nuclear waste management, alternative fuels, energy policy and climate change all sound interesting in their own respects.

my vote climate change or alternative fuels as there would be heaps of information on them-also you could make the prject aprkle with using snippets of Al Gores-an inconveinient truth
