Im not sure what they did back then but i do know that if a yeast infection goes untreated then it can expose and irritate patches of skin, causing rawness and even more irritation. You want to scratch even more, which causes even more damage, etc. You need to get it treated otherwise you will end up with a much larger problem then when you started.

It spreads and causes raw areas that can get infected otherwise..staph, etc. Vinegar and water works. Or plain yogurt (sounds gross, but works) Many women get yeast infections from having abnormal blood sugar levels, could be diabetic. Also, if they bathe in a tub and the man has athlete's foot or jock itch, they can get it...same microbe......
