my sister is 37 week?

my younger sister is 18 and 37 weeks and shes had bad back pain and some front pain for 5 days she has had swelling and is tired had some brown and white loss over the last 5 days and the baby is right down can any one tell me what is happening thanks

we have had her at the hospital

but her cervix has opened yet

how long can it go on for before she has her baby ???

She could be experiencing prodromal labor. It can last even a couple of weeks and prepares the body for "real" labor. It could also be the onset of actual labor. If the pains become more regular and stronger, that's a good indication the baby is on the way. 37 weeks is a hair early, though, so she might want to give her doc a call.

she is having contraction and could possibly go into labour soon if the pains increase and are closer then i would take her to the labour and delivery room

Sounds to me like her body is getting ready to go into labor. When you say brown and white loss I am assuming you mean from her vagina. In that case it sounds like her mucous plug is coming out which could mean she is getting very very close. Good luck and congrats.

Have her call her Obstetrician..sounds like she may be having some contractions. She needs to be evaluated by her doctor.

she needs to be taken to the hospital asap. the brown is blood and that isnt good. you need to take her asap... for the babys sake.
