Here's a question that was asked of me. I need a good, strong, logical answer or response to it: why is it that the most dedicated pro-life/anti-abortion activists (both violent and non-violent) are men and not women?

I am not so sure that is true, there are tons of groups out there that are women run and organized that are pro-life, I think the media just wants to make us think it is all men fighting against the right to abort, just google pro-life women and you will have hundreds of examples

Abortion is a highly emotional, political issue where you can be really hated for your position. For women it's also a 'sister-issue.' Most of them closely know women who have had abortions and often they've been told this as secrets with all the emotionality and drama that accompanies the decision and the aftermath.
If you have close women friends who have been through abortions, check them out and you'll find their reservations about abortions are much stronger than they would ever let out in public.
For men it's much more like an intellectual problem, albeit on the level of testing on animals, antisemitism or vegetarianism, i.e. one where you will usually never know anybody who does anything or may be tempted to do it oneself. So it's more easy to be vocal about it.

Ummm.. I wasn't aware that was true. Probably 60% of the pro-life people I know are women, and most of them (both sexes) are all about helping women in unexpected pregnancies in practical ways. I think _ and I could be wrong, it's my opinion - many men are pro-choice because a) they've never felt the miracle of a living baby (yes, baby, fetus is just latin for "young one") kick in their bellies, and b) it gives them freedom to screw around and just pay to get "rid of it". No, I'm not saying all pro-choice men are jerks, but unfortunately I've met quite a few.

Because the question will NEVER EVER be put toward a man.

A woman can find herself in a situation where they do or do not want a abortion (Rape for example). Even the most devoted pro-lifers would be hard pressed (and rightly so) to keep a rape child.

Men do not have this issue. So its easy for us to be self-righteous and say " THIS IS RIGHT or THIS IS WRONG"

Its like that old saying: Only those that dont have to, tell others they should.

Pro-lifers regard a fertilized egg as a human being deserving all of the same moral and legal rights as a born child. Therefore, to them it's not solely a women's issue; it's a legitimate moral and social issue, indistinguishable from infanticide.

B/c maybe they're not women, but they know that if their mother had that right, they themselves might have been killed.
