Cramps, they suck, I know. I suggest Advil, some tea and chocolate and a nice warm bath. Also warm compresses are good too. If they get really painful tell your Mom, and she can get you a stronger painkiller. I have also heard that Yoga or light stretching can help. If you Google "Yoga" (or something like that) you can get some yoga moves.

Actually women release a hormone right before their period that makes them have a big bowel movement, that's normal, and I think that's wht you mean by tummy ache? or do you mean cramps? Heat, potasium(like from bananas) and excercise are good for cramps, in fact having an orgasm is a good way to target the muscles around the uterus, and many women find that they relieve cramps, so while the firsdt poster was probably just being a pervert when he said masturbate(spelled incorrectly btw) he's not entirely incorrect...

If you have cramps with your period, regular exercise, a heating pad, a warm bath, and nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) such as ibuprofen, ketoprofen, and naproxen may help. If you are younger than 20, do not take aspirin. Aspirin increases the risk of Reye's syndrome, a disease that affects the brain and liver. If these treatments don't help, talk to your doctor about prescription medications.

Just take midole and if you can't get your hands on that.. simple advil or tylonal will work.
If your not into taking medicines then a heating pad will work wonders.
Or just excersize a little bit each day. It will make the cramping go away.

The unfortunate thing is you are going to have these for probly 30-40 more years. I would reccomend birth control pills, or getting out of the house and do something and get your mind off of the pain.

cramps? eat advil because it works; tylenol doesnt work for cramps. if you dont want to do that, i've heard doing crunches regularly and excercising before you get you period helps get rid of it. also, you could try putting a heat pad on your stomach since that helps me. good luck

go for a walk or excercise when you start to feel the pain. moving around gets everything inside there flowing, laying all curled up in a ball just makes it worse. go for a run or a swim.
you will feel better

Same with me. Im going to see a gynocologist in 1 week. I take 2 ibuprofins, but that doesnt help me. I would see a gynocoligist.

this is normal, personally i find a combination of ibuprofin (ie advil), caffeine, and exercise usually helps, also a hot water bottle can be quite soothing. however if it is very severe there are prescription drugs available

Try Midol,and take iron tablets.
Because we all lose iron, that time of the month.
Don't go out with your hair wet,and make sure that you get plenty of rest.
