There are a number of reputable scientists whose studies have shown that, while the earth may be warming, it is mostly a natural, cyclical change (there have been innumerable warmings & freezings over the long history of the earth) and man-made pollution has only a small influence. There are others who believe that the evidence is inconclusive. What bothers me is that for many of the Gore crowd, it is an unarguable "truth" that man is the total cause and they will attack if you disagree or attempt to provide opposing studies, facts and opinions. One of their latest playbook tactics is to attempt to manipulate the language by calling those who disagree "deniers" - i.e., wink wink, like Holocaust deniers. It is a negative labeling tactic used to attempt to stifle debate.
No reasonable person wants to pollute his environment & we must take reasonable steps to ensure that does not occur. However, we don't want to ruin the economy (which is what would happen if the most fanatical types hold sway) in order to "save the planet." What everybody needs to do is slow down, take a breath & look for objective, scientific facts which will lead to the truth. And not cherry pick "facts" on either side of the debate to support a political agenda or point of view.

No! Al Gore is a soothsayer! He is making a living distributing a very selective load of theries. He is a politician with an agenda!!!!! He does refer to, or explain the wealth of scientific research and data that contradicts the fossil fuel only case for global warming. He won't tall you about the load of geologial evidence that shows the Earth has warmed and cooled many times even in recent history. He won't tell you that much of his data is based on figures that have only been compiled in the last 250 years. Which means we don't know for certain what short term cycles are, let alone long term cycles. He will not tell you that ancient mariners logged El Nino warming and cooling cycles in the 15th and 16th centuries in the Pacific Ocean. He will only tell you about the data that supports his polital agenda. Surprise, Surprise!!!
