It saves GIFs I try to get as BMPs. How do I change this? I tried selecting GIF from the drop-down, but Bitmap is the only thing it'll save it as.

May be the pictures are BMP but named as gifs.

Does it come up with an error message? If not, check the title of the file while saving it. Make sure that the title does not have the characters ".gif" after it. For example, "Blah.gif" with BMP selected on the drop-down menu would save as "Blah.gif.bmp" WRONG!!! Whereas "Blah" with BMP selected on the drop-down menu would save as "blah.bmp"

save it as a bmp...open it in paint, then re-save it as a gif, the option should be there then

cause that's the format it was created in. Use a picture editing software to change the file to JPEG
