What does Required parameter missing mean, how can I fix it?

I am trying to use a win millineum floppy. When I type "copy" it shows Reguired parameter missing.. How do I get one or fix this problem? Is it a Hard drive problem?

Hi. Those commands 'require' further information. "Copy c:/myfile a:" will complete the command. "dir /w /p" is worth a try but the / marks call for optional info, and are called switches. DOS is fun!
