I agree, and there's hardly anything with history left. The good news is the fabulous Stardust sign will be preserved. I think it's going to the Neon museum at Fremont Street.

It is a shame. So much history in that building. It was a great piece of Americana. The name and original theme and the glitz seemed to represent that America had come out of the depression and the Second World War. Instead of worring about going to war or buying food to put on the table, people could now worry about having a great place to drive their new car for a weekend. Unfortunatly, Vegas is not a city for nostalgia.

Yes, Las Vegas is constantly changing, casino owners are looking for something bigger and better.
