Usually, your eyes twitch because you don't get enough sleep. Also, you might be tired or your eyes might be irritated due to something else that isn't a physical object in your eyes. You also might be near-sighted or have vision problems. The strain in your eyes will cause them to twitch and you might need vision correction glasses. One thing that causes near-sightedness is too much computer use, and if you use the computer too much without giving your eyes a 15 minute break every hour, then your eyes will get blurry and could start twitching.
If your conditions don't match the ones above, then go see a doctor to find out if something is wrong, especially if the twitching doesn't go away.
Try relaxing your eyes.
Here are two nice tips I learned that are helpful:
Close your eyes and cup them with your hands so all there is is complete darkness. Then, imagine that you are in a cave or out really late at night with no light outs, in the most completely dark environment possible. Stay like that for a few minutes, then uncup and open your eyes.
Also try massaging the part of your nose cartilige between your eyes with your fingers, the middle, highest part of your eyebrows, and your cheekbone right underneath your eyes.
If that doesn't relax you, use some eye drops.

Some things that cause your eyes to twitch are: fatigue, squinting a lot, consuming too much caffeine, or working in a less than ideal visual environment. What you can do at home to help stop it are hot baths, warm or cold compresses, rinsing your eyes out with warm water, or using eye drops.

I'm sure you probably don't need to go to the doctor unless the twitching worsens. You were probably just nervous or annoyed or something. I think random eye twiches occasionally are just part of life.
