They have their non binding resolutions, the effort to repeal the war authorization, the effort to defund the war and even the clause about not hitting Iran, but Democrats seem to have a unity problem. Its not so easy to lead if your supporters are all over the map, and its even more difficult if you have no direction.

If Europe had backed the US and the Brits with troops we would not have this problem .Iraq is a huge area to cover ,but if the UN had put in troops there would have been fewer areas that the terrorists could go in IRAQ . I believe with the extra troops going into Bagdad will make it more secure and as usual Europe will have egg on its face again ....sure what is new ?. and then in 10 or 20 years time when FRANCE is over run with MUSLIMS and it will be very difficult to tell civillian and terrorist appart (there are 5 million in france already) who then will FRANCE call upon to help

It sounds like a very specific plan....

Defund the occupation of Iraq by military forces, within roughly 18 months, and leave civilian and military advisers there to help the Iraqi govt continue rebuilding and to help train Iraqi soldiers.

What part of that plan is ambiguous?

But you are correct that, as a political party, they are massively disorganized and don't seem to be able to present a unified front. Then again, that's likely to be inherent in any party whose central platform promotes individual freedom and lack of constraint.

I've heard several plans?

but you guys keep asking this SAME QUESTION?

maybe you guys should change where you get your news... or maybe start watching the news?

because it sure seems like you guys don't have a clue what is going on when you ask questions like this...

from Baker's ideas to Jim Webbs retort to the state of the union... many plans are out there...

but, it's more than clear... YOU DON'T CARE... so why do you keep asking? to pretend that you do? hoping beyond hope that people not paying attention to what is going on will believe you?

It doesn't appear that the democrats have a plan. But everyone now agrees that the Republican administration never had one.

The whole thing is mind-mush (good label) because we never should have jumped into this mess. We only made it worse.

Who cares? Anyone with half a brain knows that all Iraqis are now on the side of the insurgency.

The "surge" is a joke.

The army will have to stop for fear that it will have to destroy all of Baghdad in order to “save it.”

They don’t have the level of commitment needed to go and fight the insurgents, but they are willing--at least a small group of them--to go in there and be utterly brutal when it’s safe for them. And the brutality takes this form--of killing the men and raping the women.

So **** you **** the RepubliKKKans and **** the Dems too.

Gee, let's see. Republotards ignore all credible evidence and the advice of experts, then go off on their own to create the worst military disaster in history.
Then these same idiots come crawling on their knees and sobbing like sissie "OH! WHAT DO WE DO NOW???? HELP US, DEMOCRATS, HELP US!!!!"
And we are supposed to just snap our fingers and fix your incredible foul-up?
You broke it, you fix it. Oh that's right, you can't.

Democrats are flipflopping on the issue of the Iraq war because there is no unity in the party. They have no alternative on what to do about the war just plain criticisms.

If Bush had a 'plan' in the first place, the Dems wouldn't need one. After all, the 'Decider' created this mess.

well, see the democrats are actually a motley bunch, no guns, abortion, stem cell research, no captial punishment, close the borders,, but the only thing that keeps them together is Newt Gingrich.
