if you want to play music make sure you have an acess point
for mp3 youdont need an update but for wma you need download 7.11

do you have a usb cord for your psp to put music on it? Also, do you have a big enough memory card?

Maybe you have to enable the WMA.and to do that you have to have a wireless internet.
