Hey Sandyman,
I think Reagan should have apologized to Gren., Nic., etc. I also think G.W. should apologize to the world. B. Clinton should apologize to East Timor, among others. I am not singling out Carter because he is a particularly bad guy; in fact, compared to most U.S. presidents, I think he is a relatively good guy. So I expect more from him. And even though I agree with his criticism of G.W., the Christian Right, and Israel policies, I think his criticisms would be more effective if he prefaced them with a statement like "Look I made some terrible mistakes in my time, mistakes that I can never fully compensate for. Here is what I learned from some of them." Instead, he, like all of our other arrogant ex-presidents, seems to think that self-righteousness is the way to go. I have never been influenced by an arrogant, self-righteous opponent who seems to mock me and I rarely see others influenced by such people. Also, the victims deserve at least this.

That's reaching, If Harry Truman had to apologise for what he did, and Richard Nixon to America, Ronald Reagan to Grenada,Panama,El Salvador,Nicaraugua, GW to the world, that is just reaching.
One reason I do not choose sides or religions of man.
