I have an "Eighties Sadie's" dance coming up but I don't know what to wear.

So I need guy eighties, which is a little harder to find than a simple google search...

The main thing to keep in mind is that in the 80's students were separated into groups: stoners, preppies, jocks, outcasts, rebels, nerds. To pull off an outfit for a theme party I would pick a look that people associate with a character from the 80's.
The best resource would be to search the web for photos from 80's movies such as Breakfast Club, Fast Times at Ridgemont High, Revenge of the Nerds, Risky Business or Ferris Buller's Day Off.

Do a 'blacks and brights' outfit circa 1987. Black leggings (could be stirrup), bright slouched socks and black Reebok Ex-o-fit hi-tops, pullover sweatshirt with shoelaces, socks, and sweatshirt all matching color (bright red or yellow). Wear a polo with a johnny collar under the sweatshirt. Bonus - soles of the Reebok hitops match the bright colors of the laces, socks, and sweatshirt. Hair and other accessories like others have mentioned also. Note the sweatshirt was regular length and did not cover your butt in the 1980's.

Your a guy so you don't need leg warmers or beads.
Guys wore jeans, they were usually tight. And bright colored t shirts. Or black and white that was popular. So was black and red. You could even cut off the shoulders as that was sometimes the 'look' for guys. Even being a guy you need style to your hair, think lots of hair spray, standing up in different directions and messy.

Just go into a Goodwill or a Salvation Army, and find the worst clothes you can find... get some acid wash jeans, converses will do, and any ugly shirt... if they have those really bright but faded looking shirts, that's 80s...

ok its simple just find a COLORFUL shirt (bright colors or tydie)an waer loose pants dunt forget the fake shiny beads u can get for free at the casino u know the kind thats like a $1 a pack at walmart and then waer sandals... ^^

oooh! the 80's are so fun! Definitly wear BRIGHT clothes! thats all they wore, ha. Spandex shorts. Leg warmers w/ tennis shoes. and make sure you wear you're hair in a pony in the side!! oh and those warmup jackets, haha! have fun!

just find something ugly and frumpy and you'll find the 80's..you can visit your local trailer park for some ideas :)
