Hmmm, okay. From this era - I'm gonna with The Aviator. I mean, unless you're a Howard Hughes fan, who cares???
From the 90s: Titanic. Good bloody God what a load of snivelling tripe! That was such a pathetic excuse for a movie I got sea sick just watching it. My heart will go on...bugger off!
Note: It's not Leo DiCaprio, truly.
Also from the 90s: Dances with Wolves. Why is Kevin Costner so....Kevin? He's more or less the same man in every role just different costumes. Gary Oldman suffers a similar affliction, but somehow manages to look a lot cooler while doing it. And let's not forget Unforgiven (since when did vengeful whores become a great story line? Which I guess makes me a hipocrit because I loved Sin City). And Forrest Gump, enough said.
From the 80s: Okay, going back a ways now. Let me think...ah yes! Driving Miss Daisy. Good grief, if that wasn't a gerontology special I dunno wot bloody is.
How about Kiss of the Spider Woman (zzzzzzz), Terms of Endearment, Silkwood, The Big Chill, Tootsie, Hannah and her Sisters, and of course Big.
The 80s was truly the Estrogen Era of what passed as a good movie.
And now, onto the 70s (2000, 90s, 80s, 70s, okay good that's four decades). Well, this is bit before my time so I'll try and think of 70's films I've seen that were very popular *back then.*
Airport. Like, that wasn't funny in the least. It was really rather depressing. And gross.
A Clockwork Orange. Maybe I had to live back then to get it. I dunno. Maybe I just need a bit o' the old ultraviolence meself.
Rocky. Steroid monkey wins big at boxing. And his most intelligent line? "Yo Adrian." She couldn't even bring herself to be Rocky's wife in the latest installment of the Rocky movies.
Cabaret. Liza Minelli is just another "version of perversion" in a long list of annoying, troubled celebrities. She's an attention whore.
Well, that about covers it for me. Oh let's not forget The Passion of the Christ for this century. The movie was poorly scripted, cheesy special effects, wrought with overacting, and just plain silly. I'm not Christian bashing, I'm just saying I thought the movie would be a profound spiritual experience when all it did was make me wonder what the hell Jim Caveizel (sp) had against maintaining his career.

I know that no one is going to agree with me, but here goes:
The Birth of a Nation (1915), What else should I expect from a director who's the son of a Confederate officer? Many critics panned it, but some people actually like it as masterpiece of early cinema
Nosferatu (1922), Didn't scare me as a child. Looks even lamer now.
The Invisible Man (1933), Good story, lame effects. Claude Raines is either in bandages or pretending he's in the room while doing voiceovers.
Fantasia (1940), Suppose to be for kids, but I don't know any kids who actually like this movie.
Some Like It Hot (1959), An alright movie, but not very funny.
2001: A Space Odyssey (1968), The best thing about this movie is Hal9000 and he bites in the end. Dumbest ending ever. "It's full of stars!". Yeah right, it's full of crap!
Close Encounters of the Third Kind (1977), Just plain not good!
Full Metal Jacket (1987) The movie goes downhill after R. Lee Emery gets it. The only memorable thing after that is "Me love you long time."
L.A. Confidential (1997), Good story, dull dry movie. They gave Kim an oscar for this?!
Snatch (2000), Can you say Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrells Part 2?
There you have it! I picked movies out of the 50 top-rated, as per IMDB from each decade. I only judged movies I've actually seen. That's my opinion, and I'm sticking to it.

Spiderman 1 and 2 - This is supposed to be Spiderman. I'm tired of seeing him half the time falling in love with Mary Jane. Show me him fighting against the bad guys. Not fifteen minutes of the movie is him fighting and the rest is him trying to get with her. Stop all that romance crap.
Superman Returns - This movie has put me to sleep everytime I've watched it. So boring. The concept was idiotic. The whole point of the movie was just him getting with the girl. This is SUPERMAN. He wasn't very super in this movie.
Pirates of the Carribean 2 - Went through that entire film to end like that. So long for a cliffhanger ending. Horrible movie for as much as it made.

I cant believe what I'm reading above... Gone with the wind, the Godfather, Titanic, Lord of the rings... c'mon people you're talking about real classics, real good movies, extraordinary, one thing is to be sick and tired of watching them because we've seen them too much, but the other is denying their condition of "good movies"
I'm sorry, that was for some users above, I'll think about your question, I'll try to widen my scope....
"The English Patient"??? oh God!!! but what kind of movies do you like then people???? I just have to hear now that Schindler's list was overrated, if I hear that I'll really conclude that you people are blind!!!!
I'm sorry, I just cant help it,
back to your question, well by now I'll just say Star Wars, any episode, any decade, I hate it so much!!!!
ALSO, Mission Impossible (part 1, 2 and 3), they suck!!!!
Sophie's choice (didnt like it at all, some people may disagree)

There's alot actually....but here are the ones that pop to my head:
1. Citizen Kane
2. Titanic
3. Star Wars Episode I
4. Star Wars Episode II
5. Star Wars Episode III
6. Batman Returns (but if you take out Katie Holmes, the film would have made it in the okay list)
7. Blairwitch Project
All of them are a total disappointment!
