Greg Oden has said he is considering staying at Ohio State for another year.

Now, with total disregard to what Oden wants, what the NBA wants, or what OSU wants...

Would it benefit Greg Oden more as a player to stay at Ohio State for one more year, or declare for the Draft, where he would almost surely be the number 1 pick?

Oden should definitely stay in college on more year. He is a dominant defensive force, but is still very raw offensively. His right hand could use another year in college and even if he stays, he'll still be the number 1 pick and get millions of dollars.

Greg Oden should definitely stay at OSU for another year.

Number one, "big guys" take more time to develop than shooters and such, so it would help Oden in the long run if he stays with the Buckeyes.

Number two, Greg Oden is going to be the first pick if he goes pro this year, OR next year! So, in reality, it doesn't matter too much when he goes pro.

The only problem is if he gets injured in college if he stays for another year, then he could be in big trouble for the rest of his career. However, I think he should definitely stay in college and hone his skills for the pros.

I believe it is in Greg Odens best interest to stay in college and get his degree. Sure he may be a GREAT player and maybe ready for the NBA but he needs the college degree more than anything, in order to have something to fall back on, if he gets hurt, etc. I do not it is always very intelligent to run to the NBA. Sure he stands the risks of getting hurt and not making it to the NBA, but those chances are slim. He should stay at OSU and get his degree.

i dont think greg oden would benefit because he is gonna be a top 1 or 2 pick guaranteed. no team would be stupid enough to not take oden if they could. however, oden is a nice kid and says he is enjoying college, i say if OSU doesnt get into the final 4, then he stays hoping that he and conley can win it all next year. if OSU wins the championship, then i think oden leaves cuz he accomplished the ultimate goal in ncaa hoops so its on to the big boys.

pigs can fly. there is not any risk he's going to stay in college. the pros are placing out to have faith Kevin Durant could stay yet another twelve months in college yet no longer Greg Oden after his foul problem interior the NCAA experience and terrible education. The consensus is few vast adult men have been greater poorly used than Oden in Ohio State's planned device, in certainty putting Oden in foul problem and not permitting him to apply his dominance to start the fast injury by way of rebounding and dishing outlet passes.

He needs to stay in college. Ive watcha couple of his games, and he just doesnt look like hes ready for the next level. He's great on the defensive side but im not so impressed with him on offense. He needs to work on his post play alot if he wants to become one of the elite players in the draft or college. Plus, hes gotta think of life after basketball. He is known to be injury prone and one injury can take his whole career. You can only play basketball for so long. What if hes a big bust, and stays on his rookie contract. I say if you dont win the campionship this year stay another year, and if you dont get it the next stay all four years and get your degree. Theres no reason whys his years in college should be put to waste.

If i were him, I would enter the NBA because he will get better and more experienced playing against some of the best in the world, and the competition in college won't really help him develop his offensive game(not playing against the greatest defense). Its up to him, but i'd enter the draft.

It depends on what kind of benefits you are talking about. If you are talking about money, go NBA in a heart beat. But if he stays in college, he can work on his developing offensive game. In the pros he won't get the chance because the defenders will be very good.

I think he should stay another year because he has to work on his defense and on having a true post presence. He big and talented enough to develop the same kind of presence of a Bill Russell but he has to work at it another year in college.

He is way too dominant for the ncaa.
