I was bidding on an item on ebay and I won it but here is the big problem I didn't check the payment methods and I was going to pay by moneyorder and they only excepted paypal. I emailed them tons of times asking if I could pay by moneyorder but they said no and if I didn't pay with in 3 buisness days they would leave me negative feedback and try to ban me from ebay. Is it possible? And do you have any advice?

Email and ask them if they would possibly reconsider. Tell them you could get the MO out immediately.....setting up a Paypal account is easy, but it takes a few days to complete. There are steps to follow before you can pay using paypal. Explain this to them and how you did not see the paypal only requirement. Let them know you really want the item and fully intend to purchase it. Maybe they'll think it over. They can not get you kicked off.......the worst that will happen is they can leave negative feedback.....but you can as well (stating they were uncooperative).....you will only get suspended if it becomes common for you to be unable to complete transactions.

I too sell on ebay and I can tell you that REFUSING to take a money order due to an oversight on your part is a little rediculous. If you can find someone that has a paypal account that can pay this for you would be the best idea. Even if you opened the paypal account right now you are not going to be able to use it within 3 days because there is a verification process. Offer to send them a postal money order. If they still refuse your method of paying then leave them with their item and take the feedback hit. You will NOT be banned unless this is your third non-payment then you will. One negative isn't going to kill your account and It can always be reciprocated for being difficult. Email me if you need help with this...been doing it a long time.

as long as your ebay record is good, one non-payment and one negative feedback isn't going to get you banned. Worst case, you may get suspended. Shouldn't be for too long though. Many sellers only accept paypal. Getting a paypal account is very simple and you should consider getting one. I know I resisted getting one for a while. Now I don't know how I ever ebayed without one.

they are not likely to get you banned , but negative feedback is reasonable if they clearly said Paypal only.

You get to reply to the feedback so you can explain that you didnt read the payment method.

You could open a paypal account for the one transaction, or get someone you know with a paypal account to do it for you.

Try and contact the seller directly. The problem is that eBay charges for listings. They want their fee. It is like 2.00 so be prepared to add that to the price to get what you want from the seller.

Pay by pay pal. Thats how the ebay system works. You can only lose this one if you do not follow their rules
