No, because when I started to go barefoot in public I did so completely, from one day to the next. Before then, the very idea wouldn't have occurred to me, afterwards I have been to plenty formal settings but without any shoes to remove.

On a mission trip in Japan. You had to remove your shoes before entering churches. Also at a function in the town hall; shoes-off was required.

No. I never take my shoes off in any setting. I sleep in my shoes, I bathe in my shoes. I make...no wait a minute I don't actually make love but if I did I'd leave my shoes on.

Yes...hasn't everyone? At weddings or formal dinners just kick off my shoes under the table where no one is the wiser as long as you don't have foot oder.

Not removed but I did go to a wedding barefoot once. Family was not amused.
I did have a suit on so I thought that sort of made up for it.
