No. I still would not trust them. They would still have that Muslim ideal, that if other people don't think like them, then they need to die. Barrack Obama is one I don't trust. He was raised Muslim, for the most part by his father, and step-father. His mother claims she was Catholic, but shes dead now. His last family influence is his step-father who is a Muslim, and Barrack Obama is too, no matter what he tells the press, and American people. The safety of the American people is more important, than allowing an untruthful Muslim into office, just because WE believe in Freedom. Obviously when you read, and hear about the Muslim religion, they don't believe in Freedom.

Frankly, the advent of Bio-Fuels is going to lead to the US's decline in interest in the nations who are a part of OPEC, and soon, we will be all about renewing our ties with our bretheren, here, in the Americas, where our attention always needed to be. Long live the OAS (Organization of American States)!!!
Aside from that, I can see how one might think it's hard to be a Muslim in the US. But, it can't be anymore difficult than life is for the mionority of Christians who have always been in the Middle East. I think we over dramatize our places in life. Once we learn to treat each other with common decency, and forget the emotions tied to the past, we will be able to actually see peace. Intriguing, isn't it? Judaism, Christianity, and Islam are all Abrahimic Religions, and yet we can't seem to get our collective butts in gear to see each other as human beings... A sad shame.
By the way, I am close friends with a Haitian Muslim, a Bosnian Muslim, and I find them to be very good people. Both are legal aliens, and have no desire to give up their heritage, but, they also want to help out where they live, until they return home.

Well, I know I wouldn't want to be Muslim in America.
It will be difficult finding jobs, making friends and forget running for a political office. That will never happen a Muslim gets elected for high office.
One thing I noticed is that bringing up Jewish people felt like a blame thing.

i don't think the reason that the americans will never forget the 9/11 incidents is because we are a country civilized enough to always learn from our mistakes and lapses and always improve things that we think needs improvement, we are a civilized people, we don't blamed anybody but we make sure that those who committed injustices to innocent civilians get punished by the law that we live too and make sure that it is a just and lawful punishment and those accused have the right to be heard, this is the difference between this country to all the rest, we don't hate anybody as what a lot of people think but we uphold the law no matter what. americans allow anybody to practice whatever their beliefs and religious tenets are, as long as it does not hurt themselves and anybody elses and will protect themselves and everybody to harm and injustices. we will forget but we learn and remember!!

I don't know where you are from, but I am from NYC and I assure you that people from NYC are more over than 9/11 than people from almost anyplace else in the United States. I have a very positive view of Muslims, and a relatively positive view of the religion of Islam. Please, please, please watch Democracy Now with Amy Goodman. This show is a godsend for people who are sick of the establishment media and popular culture generally. I guess you are mocking Judaism, but I am not sure exactly what your point is. Please read Noam Chomsky, another Jew, who, like Amy Goodman, writes books with a great sympathy and often strong advocacy of the Muslim perspective. Also, independent theaters in NYC have a lot of Muslim characters who are portrayed as complex people, often as protaganists with whom we are supposed to identify. Please give up on popular, corporate culture. It will always cater to the morons among us.

Where I live there are many Afganhis. Some are citizens and participate in the democracy with the rest of us. We have one on our city council. The reason they are here is they don't want to be over there with the crap going on over there.
