I really don't know. I'm only 20 weeks pregnant with my first. But, it sounds like it is more likely your digestive system.
And yes... Jazzkidsmom is definitely an as$ for making that comment. There is no such thing as an illegitimate child. As long as the child is loved, and well taken care of, that is all that matters. You don't have to be married or even believe in marriage. Hell, my parents were married when I was born, then got divorced 6 years later. So, did I all of a sudden become illegitimate at age 6?
Geez... dumb people get on my nerves.
Anyways... congrats and good luck with the rest of your pregnancy.

Its possible not for sure but possible, it could also be the stomach acid bubbling that he hears because your digestive track slows down when your pregnant. You can get a bebe` womb monitor to hear movement in the tummie though, you can usually find it at Walmart or Kmart or Target.

I'd say no, maybe it was the baby moving your insides making them gurgle. but its not like your baby has a little show going on in there or that it can make sounds inside of you. its all good though, play it off like the dad did hear something, it makes the joys of being pregnant even more enjoyable.

It was probably just your digestion or "tummy sounds" (GAS) But he can definitely hear it with the Doppler.

Yup, it's possible.
During my latter days, we played with the baby. I'd poke on one side of my belly, and the baby would poke back....and we could see him poking!
Your friend (so sad your kid will illegitimate, but that's your decision) might also be hearing your stomach growling.
