On Sunday, I was out shopping and bought an American Eagle purse at Payless Shoe Source. Even thought it was on sale, I didn't have a chance to go to AE to check if it was cheapter, so i got it at Payless. I'm wondering why there's AE shoes/purses there at payless, and i live in canada! so please answer my question! thx :)

They are not the same brand. You can tell by looking at the design of the logo - TOTALLY different.

It's possible they're under the same parent company, the way Banana Republic and Old Navy are the same company, but obviusly the merchandise is a lot different.

Hi, well, first off, they're NOT different brands (see the website below) it IS American Eagle Outfitters, but since they're technically outfitting your feet it's American Eagle Shoes. I think they're just promoting American Eagle. See, a lot of people would find American Eagle too expensive and choose to go to Payless instead. A lot of people wouldn't even imagine that they sell shoes. So when somebody who doesn't regularly shop at AE sees these cute AE shoes at Payless for a regular Payless price they basically think they've hit the jackpot. At least, that's my idea!

there is a difference
the one at payless is a knockoff..
american eagle-payless
american eagle outfitters-the real deal
thery just came up with that name
if you really think about it
it could be a very popular brand
seeing we(not meaning you) live in america
and our national bird(or animal, or whatever)
is an eagle
hope i helped!!
<3
p.s.- and if you look at the AE symbol,
it is different form american eagle outfitters

Notice they say "American Eagle" and not "American Eagle Outfitters." Not the same brand, sorry.

The shoe brand is still owned by parent company AE, so they're related.
