1. Saving Private Ryan - This movie had massive amounts of real looking blood. People being torn in half by grenades. This movie was very graphic in a real sense.
2. Braveheart - Same thing as Saving Private Ryan, except for grenades tearing people up. Showed real looking blood and was violent.
3. 300 - Blood is extremely fake looking as it is thrown at the screen like it would be in a panel of a comic book. When heads are chopped off they don't look disgusting, they look as if it would in a comic book. Very stylish and very wonderfully created.
If you want gore, watch Saw III or Hostel.
These movies are going to be violent. WHAT THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU ARE GOING TO GET WITH WAR MOVIES????
300 by far the best. Love the style of filming. Something I have never seen before. Creates an amazing setting and is shot-for-shot adaptation of Frank Miller's graphic novel.

Most violent:
1. 300
2. Braveheart
3. Saving Private Ryan
And 300 is the leader by faaaaaaaaarrrrrrr.....
but its right up there with Braveheart for meaning as well, "do whats right" and "honor" are key messages.
