It is effective for new players as it helps with their timing and getting a feel for the racket.

Not very helpful for intermediate and advanced players as the path of the ball is known which is far too easy.

The only thing that wall tennis is good at is for eye coordination and moving towards the ball. Otherwise, your forehand/ backhand won't be as suffiecient as if you were playing on an actual court.

I used it all the time when i was coming up, basically to create muscle memory in my strokes( Forehand and Backhand ground stokes) . One suggestion stand back far enough so the ball can bounce twice so you can really groove and get in a good rhythm, you do not want to be rushed when working with the wall.

It cant hurt. Just stand back to about where the base line would be and for added realism make a chalk marking on the wall where the net would be (3 ft off the ground)

i do not believe it is effective. this is becuase whenever you hit the ball it will always come back to you. you need to practice your accuracy with other poeple. it would be good if you use it if your going to practice your strokes though

good luck! have fun!

it's very effective because wherever you hit it, it's going to go at the same place as if you were hitting on the court. try practicing it, i did and it helped me a lot. and its easy because you dont need someone to play with

In a way yes, it may help your eye and ball coordination. And maybe if you have the basic ground strokes it can too.

It's a great way to work on form and basic footwork.
