There are a lot of great rivalries, but I do think OU-Texas is the best because of the neutral field, with fans split 50-50. Of the big rivalries, it's also the only one where both teams have won national championships this century.

Auburn vs. Alabama is a pretty good one, but I don't think it gets any better than Ohio State vs. Michigan. Did you see the game last year? That is a great rivalry. It has had national championship implications many times, from Woody (Hayes) and Bo (Schembechler), to Tressel and Carr. It has to be the best rivalry in college football, bar none.

you know i have to say ohio st. michigan rivalry is the best by far. If you ask anyone depending on the team they like, the '' greatest'' rivalry will be the rival of their favorite team. You have to listen to all of the neutral fans. 90 pct will tell you that it is ohio state michigan. im from columbus, oh and that rivalry is topic of conversation every day. It means so much to the teams. But the real meaning belongs to the fans. Bragging rights are the greatest. MICHIGAN SUCKS!!!!!!!!!

there are a lot of good college rivalrys but since im a bay area guy. im gonna be biased as say cal vs stanford. neither are powerhouses or anything but just the proximity and hatred makes it a good local rivalry. the name is called the big game from back then. the whole cal guy hitting the stanford band guy in probably the most amazing college football play ever.

Harvard-Yale. It may not matter to any of us. But this game is huge for these schools. It's been around since 1875 and it used to be a great game loaded with NFL prospects.

Right now it is Ohio State-Michigan.

I like UCLA - USC. But the most intense rivalry is probably Ohio St. - Michigan.

One that is underrated is Wisconsin - Minnesota. It is the longest continuous rivalry in college football. They play for the Paul Bunyon Axe. As a Badger fan, it is great beating Minnesota!
