Hi there, I have heard from many actors and actresses that they think it is easy to make the people cry than to make them laugh.
If this is so, who would you say is the actor/actress who has made you cry so hard?
I have to say that when I saw the movie What dreams may come (I believe is the correct title) with Robin Williams, oh, I cried almost all the movie. He can really make me cry and also laugh.

hi there i win! i can do both as quickly and as easy as the other................ i suffer from cronic depression! yes its easy to do both, robin williams has that effect on me too. he's funny for a laugh, but all that hair it just makes me cry! lol

Absolutely. No matter where we are in life, there will be an actor/ actress that one can identify with, in terms of laughter and tears. I do agree with Robin Williams because he is funny and dramatic at the same time. Case in point- Dead Poets Society, especially towards the end when the students get up on the desks and state, Captain my captain. That gets me all the time.

I think that it is easier to make people cry rather than to laugh, because sad things are basically universal. What others relate to or have empathy for is common place pain and suffering. What makes people laugh is not always so common place, and every individuals sense of humor is different.

I laugh easily but it takes a lot for me to cry. Sometimes I really feel like I want to cry but it just won't happen! It has to be really serious to bring me to tears of sadness or anger. Tears of joy come easier!

For me, its really easier to make people cry then laugh.

It is easier to laugh than to cry...but easier to make people cry than to make them laugh....there are too many sad points in each of us to trigger, that's why.
